Jaxter James – trio

Jaxter James, a long standing member of the Philly music scene, has spent most of his life entertaining crowds in clubs, and events like car shows and outdoor festivals. As the founding member of Astrix (Delco), Stratus(Montco), and The Goods (Philadelphia, Wilmington, and all surrounding suburbs), he has kept audiences rocking through his 30+ years of performing high end pop and progressive rock, and jazz fusion, as well as his many years fueling the Philly original scene with his catalog of composition spanning all genres and tastes.

These days he performs in many acts and ensembles including solo and duo acoustic, as well as, electric 3 piece as Jaxter Eletric Trio, and now with the 11 piece horn band Variable Elements. Jaxter performs a wide variety of tunes ranging from 70 prog and classic rock like The Who, Steppenwolf, Steely Dan, Genesis, David Bowie, and The Guess Who to current radio hits with a focus on alternative rock of the 1990-2000 era with such bands as Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Creed,  SoundGarden, Collective Soul, Googoo Dolls, Tonic, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Incubus. Jaxter plays a diverse mix of music that has something for everyone and keeps the tempo upbeat for dancing or just toe tappin’ and singin’ along. His focus is on radio hits and familiar music that most have heard and know, and his selection of older music will take you back to another time and place when music was truly the soundtrack of life.

“Musically, Brian Kibler has one goal in mind: to create intense, heartfelt, compelling music devoid of pretentiousness and mediocrity. A self-confessed child of the ’90s alternative boom, and a sort of revivalist of the genre, Brian actually grew up listening to classic rock. Inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream and Jimi Hendrix, Brian picked up the guitar in his early teens. Entirely self-taught, Brian has immersed himself in nearly every style of music, and has played with a multitude of different bands.

At the dawn of the new millenium, Brian caught the songwriting bug and has written a bunch of songs, all reflecting a different place and time in Brian’s journey through life and music. As well as being an eclectic guitarist/vocalist/songwriter, Brian also plays bass, mandolin, harmonica, piano, organ, Mellotron, synthesizer and drums.

As of this writing, Brian is performing as a solo acoustic artist, and is working on recording and releasing new original material.”

Here’s 3 cool solo pics of the 3 of us. Unfortunately I only have the 1 group shot of us. Don’t ask why the silly cover aspect.  Lol  Long story. If you prefer that one, go for it.
